Last year 55 Service Users and Staff enjoyed Christmas Dinner at The Old Rectory in Wem, due to Covid we will be unable to get together this year so we are ‘Taking Christmas Dinner’ to our Service Users homes instead.

The Old Rectory will be cooking a Christmas meal for all Service Users and Staff, we will all then take them to their homes and we will sit and enjoy a festive meal together, complete with crackers and hats!! This is a gift from Wishing Well

We understand the impact Corona Virus is having on our Service Users, they are struggling with not seeing their families, which has left them feeling lonely and isolated.  We at Wishing Well are trying to fill that gap as best we can, we are offering more Companionship calls to combat the loneliness, along with additional shopping and cleaning calls.  All our staff have had Covid19 training and are fully equipped with PPE.  We all strive to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our Service Users and Staff.

We took some of our Service Users to the Burlton Inn on Saturday for lunch, they had laid out tables with white clothes and fresh flowers and decked the pub in Union Jacks for us to sit and enjoy the Royal Wedding,

We had a lovely lunch and there was ‘fizz’ to toast the newly weds!!  We all went decked in our fancy hats and we won 1st & 2nd prize for the best hat.  A good time was had by all.
